Rotosound RS77S Short Scale Jazz Bass Monel Flat Wound Strings

One of the original Rotosound sets from the early 1960s. These strings can be heard on many famous albums, used over the years by Sting, Phil Lynott, Steve Harris and John Deacon. Outstanding brilliance and superb tone.

Short scale set is for a 30″ scale, but more importantly, a speaking length from ball to the tail run-off (where the silk starts) of 32-1/4″. Overall length is 43″. The silk winding at the headstock end of the string is 11″ long. The silk winding at ball end of the string is 1″ long. This makes the overall playable length of the string around 31″ long depending on how it’s wound to the tuning pegs.
