This hand painted needlepoint canvas by Rittenhouse Needlepoint features a plate of yummy potato latkes with dishes of applesauce and sour cream. Potato latkes were created by the Ashkenazi in the mid 1800s when crop failures led to mass plantings of potatoes. Before this development, most latkes were made with cheese.
