The Alvarez MU55 Masterworks Ukes are made from Bamboo, all solid Bamboo, and a wood that grows quickly in abundance and is in no danger of depleting.

As instrument makers and players, Alvarez try to source alternative woods and materials that are kinder to the worlds ecosystem but do not compromise on quality or tonal attributes. The MU55s meet these requirements beautifully. This model is fitted with the Alvarez AUE20 Pickup and EQ.

All Alvarez Ukes are constructed with a dovetail neck joint for optimal strength and transfer of energy between the neck and body. The bracing design is a modification on traditional fan style braces to optimize response. The response is also aided by a solid slotted bridge, which enhances projection and helps to make string changes easier and quicker.
